Sites and spaces are integral to human existence. We need space for everything we do. We need space to function, live, breathe and express.
Driven by the passion and love for space, th_R_abts creates participative artistic experiences where audiences acknowledge the undeniable relationship between humanity and space; and develop empathy for the relationships that others have with a space.
A th_R_abts experience treats the site at the focal point, portraying it in all its purity.
Our practice demands a research and development process that involves a deeper and more comprehensive approach to uncover the history, storytelling, and emotions of a space.
th_R_abts hopes to establish a unique site-specific and multidisciplinary practice, that goes beyond performances to include other mediums and platforms. th_R_abts also hopes to open more avenues to promote the genre of site-specific art practices, allowing for more discussions and debate, to further the development of this genre in Singapore.
